First and foremost, I nailed the winner! I predicted that pre-tournament favorite, Sam Burns would win and he prevailed by one stroke over veteran Nick Watney and Korn Ferry grad, Cameron Young. I expected defending champ Sergio Garcia to be too emotionally spent to contend and he missed the cut by one.
Among those I suggested had a chance to win, Will Zalatoris and Corey Conners were in the hunt early but faded and both finished T17. Mito Pereira never got untracked and finished T31. My extreme longshot pick was Jimmy Walker. He shot a stout 66 in the second round but ended up -10 and a T45.
One player to keep an eye on in the next few weeks is Matthew Wolff. Wolff was a member of the great rookie triumvirate – along with Morikawa and Hovland – from two seasons ago. He has had his issues with managing the stress of the PGA Tour and his strong finish this week -T17 – could be a indicator of good things to come.
I had my doubts about Sam Burns pulling this off, even going into the last day. But you nailed it, Mr. Caradona! Golfer Whisperer!
I share your expectations for Woolf. These often-overlooked early season events could allow him to find his groove finally.

Thank you for your comment and kind words Mr Godwin. Will be interesting to see what Wolff can do after his decent finish.
